Reminder: Kiksuya Skating Party Saturday Night

A friendly reminder that the NKU's Kiksuya Student Organization is holding their annual fundraising event this Saturday evening, May 2nd in Erlanger, KY.

When: Saturday, May 2nd
Where: Jimmie's Roller Dome in Erlanger, KY
Time: 11 pm - 1 am
Cost: $8 per person (includes skate rental)

*The event is open to the public so bring your friends & family!

All proceeds will go to supporting the students and volunteers who help repair homes on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation this spring.

Recap of the 1st Annual HSS Collaborative Showcase

The first HSS (Humanities & Social Sciences) Collaborative Showcase was held this past Thursday, April 9th in the Steely Library.

The HSS Showcase included faculty and staff, currently working in the Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines, sharing research, ideas, and creativity with colleagues.

Featured Speakers this year included:

John Alberti (English) "The New Girl (and New Boy) in the New Economy: Genres of Gender in the Post Recession Period"



Michael Bush (Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Organizational Leadership) "Team Based Learning"


Kristin Hornsby (Honors) "Heirloom"

International Coffee Hour and Open House at the Museum of Anthropology

 *Get to know some of NKUs international students in the Museum of Anthropology for an International Coffee Hour and Open House on Monday, April 13th.*

This event is a continuation of the campus Celebration of Research and Creativity week's activities and will occur in the Museum of Anthropology in Landrum 200.



All students are welcome and will be given the chance to speak with faculty and staff of the NKU Anthropology Department.  Extra credit opportunities may be available for those who attend (see your professor)!

Dig those old roller skates out of your closet and head on over to the rink to support the students!

2015 Tournées Festival of New French Films on Campus

The annual Tournées Festival will be held at NKU featuring new French films on campus every Thursday beginning April 2 thru May 7; a series of six films over six weeks.

The Tournées is a program sponsored by the French American Cultural Exchange that provides grant money to colleges and universities to host film festivals showcasing some of the best of recent French cinema.

When: Every Thursday beginning April 2 thru May 7 (an additional film will be shown Friday, April 10th as well)
Where: Griffin Hall Digitorium
Time(s): 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm
Cost: Free to students and those with an NKU ID and $5 for general public
